Authorities arrested 50-year-old Douglas Kuhn for allegedly shooting at Neal Houk and his son, Bradley Lang, as they drove past his home in Kingsville, Maryland, on Saturday.

Kuhn was in the process of installing a Biden 2020 sign on his property when Houk and Lang drove past him and honked their horn. Other outlets reported that Kuhn, instead, was installing a Black Lives Matter sign at the time.

He reportedly fired his shotgun at their pickup truck, which had Trump campaign signs in it. The shots missed Houk and Lang, authorities said.

What are the details?
Houk told WJZ-TV that he and his son were traveling down a street and saw Kuhn — whom he does not know — installing the sign.

In what his son said was intended to be a friendly gesture, Houk honked his horn at Kuhn.

Kuhn then reportedly went off.

"There was a gentleman in the field putting up a banner, and I blew the horn and he had a shotgun right there and he reached down, picked it up, pointed it," Houk said. "My son was in the passenger seat. We looked straight down the barrel and we looked in disbelief and then right there he fired the shotgun."

"We see what's going on in the country, and I really didn't expect it right here at home," he added. "Then to hear the gunshot, we were rattled. I'm shaking just talking about it."

The announcement was made late Wednesday at a hastily called news conference 13 days before the election.

The allegations underscored the U.S. government’s concern about efforts by foreign countries to influence the election by spreading false information meant to suppress voter turnout and undermine American confidence in the vote. Such direct attempts to sway public opinion are more commonly associated with Moscow, which conducted a covert social media campaign in 2016 aimed at sowing discord and is again interfering this year, but the idea that Iran could be responsible suggested that those tactics have been adopted by other nations, too.



“These actions are desperate attempts by desperate adversaries,” said John Ratcliffe, the government’s top intelligence official, who, along with FBI Director Chris Wray, insisted that the U.S. would impose costs on any foreign countries that interfere in the 2020 U.S. election and that the integrity of the election is still sound.

The two officials called out Russia and Iran for having obtained voter registration information, though such data is sometimes easily accessible and there was no allegation either country had hacked a database for it. Neither Trump nor Giuliani are trustworthy and they haven't released the hard drive contents to be inspected by outside media. It's likely a bunch of nothing or just Russian disinformation. Even if it were true, Trump has worse ties to foreign entities.

The FBI has seized Hunter Biden's laptop and confirmed the former vice president's son's controversial emails are 'authentic', while dispelling earlier claims that they are part of a Russia disinformation campaign.


Senior federal officials told Fox News on Tuesday that the bureau is now in possession of the computer allegedly containing emails that could purportedly implicate Joe Biden in his son's international business dealings during his time as VP.

Insiders said both the FBI and the Department of Justice have concurred with National Intelligence John Ratcliffe's assessment on Monday that there is no evidence to support the files are part of a Russian disinformation scheme.
